Our commercial water heating systems are built around our heavy duty range of continuous flow gas heaters. These hard working units feature a more resilient heat exchanger, a mechanical heat exchanger by pass valve and a status monitor.
Our commercial hot water systems are widely used throughout Schools, government buildings, apartments, offices and sports facilities, as well as hotels and commercial kitchens.

The robust Commercial Condensing Tankless Water Heaters come standard on the Tankless Rack System™ (wall mount or free-standing) as well as individual units. Available in natural or LP Gas, the Heater is a dedicated commercial tankless model, precision engineered to produce an endless supply of hot water for even the most demanding applications — from restaurants to hotels to multifamily residences to schools and more. When the demands are greatest, Rinnai delivers.
Specification
Now you can harness all the benefits of tankless water heating technology, pre assembled and ready to replace the boiler in your commercial water heating system. No backup is required as with conventional boiler systems. Save at leas half the capital cost.
Built with superior quality and reliability, Rinnai’s Tankless Rack System™ offers the perfect BTU upgrade of an old-style commercial water boiler that is reheating storage tanks. On retrofit applications, often times you can keep your existing tank and pump and simply replace with the lower cost and better performing TRS.
Pre-assembled with one connection point for gas, water, electrical and the condensate drain, the Rinnai Tankless Rack System (TRS) offers simple installation while reducing labour time and cost.
Freestanding inline rack system
Complete flexibility of design is coupled with Rinnai’s advance electronic control system to give “on demand”water heating system designed to fit your need exactly. You can use multiple units together to build a Module of up to 2 water heaters to provide anywhere from 4.5 to 1437 Kw’s, enough to replace even large boiler capacities. If you need more capacity you simply ad more units of up to 25 water heaters. Inbuilt redundancy and with turn down ratio’s as low as 1:325 adds further benefits, in both efficiency and capital cost, compared to traditional boiler systems.
The chart below demonstrates the efficiency that a fully modulating tankless system can provide. The chart generally shows the gas usage of a traditional boiler compared to that of a Rinnai Tankless Water Heater.*
Peaks represent the tankless unit meeting user demands, and valleys represent saved energy in between.
How modulation works
Modulation
Now you can harness all the benefits of tankless water heating technology, pre assembled and ready to replace the boiler in you existing or new premises.
The TRS is installed in place of an old-style boiler and provides built-in redundancy by racking individual units to ensure hot water supply keeps flowing even if a unit is down.
The Rinnai’s Tankless Rack System™ is designed to supply packadge water heating solution as fully assembled system. The TRS includes pre assembled water and gas connections and manifolds under the tankless water heaters that are adequately sized to maintain optimum performance.Rinnai Gas Tankless technology provides and endless supply of hot water and the Tankless Rack System provides the ability to link multipale units together, giving redundancy and ensuring the business remains open 24/7/365.
All of the water Heater on the TRS can be electronically connected using the multi systems control board. When operating, multiple tankless water heaters are linked together with multi system controls are designed to supply equal amounts of hot water. They will also rotate occasionally to ensure equal usage among the entire system. On initial water flow 1 to 3 units will start up based on the configuration of the multi system control board. Once the flow rate is determined, the multi system control board will initiate additional water heaters as required.
The Rinnai’s Tankless Rack System™ is a true water heater. Fully approved for direct contact with portable water it offers complete flexibility of design for any water heating purpose without the use of additional equipment such as heat exchangers or indirect storage tanks to separate the water being heated from the water heater itself.
Customised Solutions
MADE-TO-ORDER SOLUTIONS FOR ANY BUSINESS OR APPLICATION
Rinnai’sApplication Engineering Center of Excellence provide customized solutions to meet any business’s water heating demands. This includes use of the TRS in conjunction with direct heated storage tanks.
As illustrated in the diagram above, condensing appliances use the latent heat of exhaust to preheat incoming cold water. The colder the inlet water, the higher the efficiency and the more condensate is generated.

Rinnai Demand DuoTM Commercial Hybrid System
In this diagram, 10 Tankless water heaters are electronically connected. Each bank of five is controlled by a Multi-System control Board. These boards are connected to each other with Multi-System C2 cables. One Multi-system Control Board will serve as the master control for the entire system. This system is suitable for up to 2 water heaters.
